Teachers' Convention

Our annual Teachers’ Convention is hosted by a different school each year. Relevant themes, speakers and workshops are provided, with engaging worship, conversation, and, of course, excellent catering of meals and snacks throughout the event.

Our 2026 Convention will be hosted in Calgary, Alberta by Calgary Christian School on October 22-23 at both their Elementary and Secondary Campuses.

We are excited to have Mark Buchanan as our keynote speaker. He will lead us through three sessions.

Mark Buchanan
Keynote Speaker

Mark Buchanan is a pastor, author, and Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Ambrose University.  His books include: God Walk: Moving at the Speed of Your SoulYour Church is Too Safe, and David Descend.

From Mark's website:

I am a husband and father. A brother and a friend. Once a son, now an orphan—if one can still be an orphan at my age. I am a writer, professor, and speaker. Occasionally, I make some noise on a guitar, sometimes even in front of people. Sitting by a fire with a good book or walking deep in the wilderness is my greatest joy. I love to scuba dive, ride motorcycles, and fish a slow bend in a fast river.

My goal in life is to be a saint, but more often than not, I settle for smaller victories—like not complaining when I take out the trash or get stuck in traffic. And I’m learning to embrace every small victory as it comes.

Do I have to use my credit card to complete my order?

No. We recognize that each of our school communities is unique and for some it will work best for teachers to individually pay for the convention on their personal credit cards. In this case, please feel free to pay through Eventbrite. For other schools where their school or society pays the Convention fees, individuals can select 'Pay by Invoice' and then the PCCE Office will invoice schools/societies for these registration fees.

All requests for refunds must be made in writing. A full refund will be granted for registrations cancelled on or before October 1, 2026. For cancellations received between October 1-9, 2026 a $25 administrative fee will be charged. After October 9, 2026, no refunds will be granted except under special circumstances.
